Free Computer Courses for Homeschoolers Only!

Here’s part of an email I received about an offer of free online computer courses. These are professional courses, each costing sometimes hundreds of dollars. I wrote back and forth with him and confirmed that this will be free for homeschoolers for the indefinite future and that it can be used multiple times by the same student. Please honor their generosity and do not post this code elsewhere online. He decided I should share it here and then point others to come here to get the code to access the classes. If you want to share this code with others online, please do the same and direct them to this blog post. This offer is for homeschool students only, not for adults. This is thousands of dollars worth of courses being offered us for free, so I really hope many will take advantage of it. This is not just for techie kids who are into programming and web design. Your non-computer users can learn things like Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, etc. Every kid needs to know how to use computers as the powerful tools that they are.

The CEO of my company, Webucator, is beginning to homeschool his 7th grade daughter next year.  In searching for curriculum, he couldn’t find a lot of great free online software and web development courses.  As Webucator specializes in this kind of training in the corporate world, we know how valuable these skills are.  So, we’ve decided to make all of our self-paced courses available for free to homeschoolers.  This includes courses on web development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, etc.), Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc), Photoshop, Dreamweaver and many others.
To register for a course, all they need to do is:
  1. Go to our Self-paced Courses page.
  2. Browse through the courses.
  3. Click the Order Now button next to the course.
  4. Enter HOMESCHOOL for the Coupon Code and click Validate Coupon.
  5. Complete the registration.
That’s all there is to it.  As I said, the courses are self paced, so students will need to have some discipline to get through them, but one of the great things about homeschooling is that it helps kids develop this kind of discipline. So, we’re hopeful that our courses will help kids develop much needed skills in the workplace.  Plus, a lot of this stuff is just fun to learn!

do we put our selves or the student as the one registering?

      • somesarah January 24, 2017 / 10:01 pm

Is this still being offered? And if so, do you have to have the programs (ie Photoshop) to take the class?

      • Easy Peasy All-in-One Homeschool January 25, 2017 / 1:14 am

It should still be available to us. I would think it assumes you have the program you’re wanting to learn to use, but I would also think you’d be able to use what you learned in other programs if you really can’t buy it. You’d have to understand that you’d have to figure out how to do it in your program, but it would probably use the same concepts and similar features.

OMG!! This is so awesome! Does the code expire? (I love your site!!)

    • Easy Peasy All-in-One Homeschool August 4, 2014 / 2:53 pm

Thank you. In the post above it states ‘confirmed that this will be free for homeschoolers for the indefinite future’ so there is not expiration at this time.

  6. Faith August 5, 2014 / 5:21 pm

Is it just courses for computer stuff?

      • Hannah August 10, 2015 / 3:23 pm

Can you get your high school diploma through this

      • Easy Peasy All-in-One Homeschool August 10, 2015 / 4:54 pm

Easy Peasy is a free curriculum not a school, you are your child’s teacher and administrator. You keep your child’s paperwork and transcript when your child has completed High School you can give your child his/her diploma. All colleges require a transcript which you will complete.

  7. Celeste August 5, 2014 / 5:56 pm

Thank you so much! Can we register our home schoolers now, and start them with the new term?

  8. Sharon August 5, 2014 / 6:18 pm

Thank you for sharing this with us. I am overwhelmed with not only his generosity but yours also. You are both wonderful examples to our family of how God does provide for our needs when we least expect them.

  9. Jenn August 5, 2014 / 6:18 pm

Do you know how young these classes would accommodate? I have been looking for computer classes for my 4th and 5th graders. And as you said…there is very little out there to teach basic computer skills.

  10. Martha August 5, 2014 / 6:21 pm

WOW! This is wonderful! Many thanks to Webucator for their generousity!

  11. Andrea August 5, 2014 / 6:33 pm

What if you don’t have the softeware for some of these classes? Like Dreamweaver.

  12. Ginger August 5, 2014 / 6:37 pm

How incredibly generous! Thank you so much for sharing. Is there a specific way we can express our gratitude to the CEO? Should we simply leave a comment on their site? My son is so excited! As is my wallet!

  13. Cheryl August 5, 2014 / 6:55 pm

This is going to be great for our homeschool this year! Thank you so much for sharing.

  14. April August 5, 2014 / 7:09 pm

What are the recommendations for a 3rd and 5th grader? Word first or powerpoint? Suggestions are welcome! I’m not good at either so I’ll be learning along with them!So excited about this offer!!!

    • April August 5, 2014 / 7:28 pm

I just registered my two for power point! Excited!

    • Easy Peasy All-in-One Homeschool August 6, 2014 / 5:37 am

I would say Word first, but I don’t know how these will go with young students. Your 3rd grader will get Power Point in computer lessons this year if you use Easy Peasy 3rd level.

  15. Megan August 5, 2014 / 7:33 pm

I filled out the registration for my daughter, after that do they send you something by email or do you just log in somehow? Sorry I’m just a little confused, thank you. 🙂

  16. Amber Giza August 5, 2014 / 10:37 pm

Can our kids sign up for more than one class at a time? I did bill me later, the voucher code and then it showed $0.00 due. Once I got both kids signed up, I thought maybe I would sign them up for a second one and I am not sure it is working properly or maybe we only get one?

  17. Carol Hicks August 5, 2014 / 11:32 pm

Thank you so much! And please send our thanks along to the CEO of Webucator!

  18. Andrea August 6, 2014 / 1:32 am

Is there a suggested age range? Would it be for elementary or more for middle and high school?

    • Easy Peasy All-in-One Homeschool August 6, 2014 / 5:33 am

I would think the courses are designed with adults, not children in mind. I would think middle school and high school students wouldn’t have a problem.

    • Easy Peasy All-in-One Homeschool August 7, 2014 / 8:47 pm

This is for High School or if you feel that your Middle School student can do it (age range about 12+) Remember, It’s illegal for any site to gather information on a child under 13, so if they want to use it, they will have to use the parent’s name, etc. to sign up.

  19. lupeclark@cox.net August 6, 2014 / 8:31 am

I just signed me 15 yo HS JR up for a class. Thank you so much!! Greatly appreciated.

  21. Jenny Arnett Wagoner August 6, 2014 / 9:22 pm

I just tried to sign my 11 yr old up, but the confirmation said that he had to be at least 13 yrs old. Has anyone else run into that problem? i really want him to take the class, but don’t want to be dishonest 🙁

    • Jenny Arnett Wagoner August 7, 2014 / 2:07 am

the class i was trying to sign him up for was html. maybe that’s too advanced? i will try a different course and see if the same thing happens..

      • Easy Peasy All-in-One Homeschool August 7, 2014 / 11:18 am

It’s illegal for any site to gather information on a child under 13, so if they want to use it, they will have to use the parent’s name, etc. to sign up.

  22. Shannon August 6, 2014 / 9:51 pm

Wow please send a thank you to the CEO from our family as well.

  23. Edwina Madeley August 6, 2014 / 11:40 pm

This is so incredibly generous of you!!!! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts! As with most homeschooling families, we’re a large family on one salary so every penny gets turned over & over ~ your gift is very much appreciated!!! Can’t wait to investigate with my kids in the morning… sweet dreams & hugs from Sunny South Africa xxxxxxx

  24. carolswett August 7, 2014 / 4:08 am

This offer fills a huge hole for me. I have a very computer literate high schooler. So much so that I don’t know how to quantify/qualify what he knows. This offer will be of tremendous help. Please thank the CEO. Wish I would thank him in person!

  25. Faith August 7, 2014 / 5:38 pm

oh, sorry, I asked a stupid question, it says computer courses right there… thanks for answering my question 🙂

  26. Nicole Morrison August 7, 2014 / 7:23 pm

    This is a blessing!
Can they sign up for more then one course? My two boys want to take three or four (so far, they looked through and made a list). Also, there is no minimum age requirement correct?

  27. Tasheika August 10, 2014 / 7:49 pm

This is soooooo AWESOME!!! Looking forward to starting this fall!

  28. Jerelene Postin August 12, 2014 / 7:52 pm

I signed my son up yesterday…does it take a while for them to send an e-mail? Or is this still available?

  29. Kim Walters August 13, 2014 / 6:17 pm

I am trying to sign up for a class for my teenage home school son, but I put in the HOMESCHOOL coupon code and it gives me a red Checkmark. Is the code still good? Is it only for certain classes?

    • Easy Peasy All-in-One Homeschool August 13, 2014 / 10:47 pm

I just checked the coupon and it is still good. What is the age of the student you are signing up? I would also make sure that the coupon is all in caps. Where is the check mark? JR

  30. Lora August 24, 2014 / 2:27 am

Thank you so much for your generosity! This is a real blessing!

  31. Hannah August 25, 2014 / 5:59 pm

How long does it usually take for them to email you? 🙂

  32. Victoria August 26, 2014 / 9:44 pm

Just signed my 14 yo son up for a course. Got free so it is still workin! I didn’t use all caps for the coupon code.
Thank you so much for sharing!!

  33. sumbuck1234 August 28, 2014 / 1:25 am

I signed up my 9th grader for a free class, but he is having trouble. Do any of the courses work for an IMac?

  34. Mary August 28, 2014 / 4:27 pm

This is such a blessing. My 15 year old wants to go into computers for his career and this is such a great beginning..Thank You.

  35. Genny September 5, 2014 / 6:57 pm

There isn’t an option for Chrome OS, and OS is asked at registration. Suggestions?

  36. lynn September 10, 2014 / 2:38 pm

how do you set up the classes?

  37. Kerry H. October 10, 2014 / 11:48 pm

Is this offer still available? Coupon code is not working. Gives me a “Sorry, we couldn’t process your request” error message.

  38. Diana October 23, 2014 / 2:38 pm

I have signed my 9th grader up to a Java Fundamentals course and I am having difficulty signing him in to use the class that is offered. I have already emailed the website and they got back with me telling me the sign up procedure but never really dealing with the technical issue we are having. Anyone else running in to the same problem? Thanks for your time 🙂

  39. linda oneill May 20, 2015 / 4:35 am

Hello, ive found your site very helpful and interesting. Im considering homeschooling my daughter. She wil start year 11(age 15) after the summer holidays but unfortunately is very unhappy at school and struggling in all areas.
Wil the 8th grade be suitable and cover what she needs to be learning? If not can you recommend a free course suitable please.
Im on my own with my daughter and do find this slightly worrying and daunting as I was never academic either.
I look forward to hearing from.
    Thanks, lindaoneill

  40. Michael Milas February 16, 2016 / 3:58 pm

Is the coupon code still working?

      • Cherie May 18, 2016 / 7:09 pm

I was just now trying to set my son up for some courses this summer and the coupon code does not work.

      • Easy Peasy All-in-One Homeschool May 18, 2016 / 8:44 pm

I have contacted them. They know about the problem and are working on it. They have just updated their site and are having some glitches.

  41. Cherie Hawley May 19, 2016 / 9:25 pm

    Awesome thank you!

  42. MINDI August 16, 2016 / 2:09 am

ANY UPDATES ON THE CODE? THANKS.

      • Adam October 7, 2016 / 2:39 pm

        Hello –
I just tried the code and it zeroes out the cost for a course, but then when I try to register the course it tells me:

        “uh-oh

We’re sorry, but something went wrong and we were unable to process your request.”

It then takes me back to browsing courses again. I’ve tried to register my daughter a couple times and get the same message every time. I’m filling everything out properly, but it still isn’t working. Is this code still a valid offer?

      • Easy Peasy All-in-One Homeschool October 7, 2016 / 6:10 pm

Have you contacted the site? The code does work. It does zero-out the cost, so it’s recognizing it. There’s obviously some glitch, though. I can’t help with that. Contact them to let them know and ask for help.

  43. Erin March 30, 2017 / 3:28 pm

Oh my! I’m so excited about finding this. I was about to fork over $150 on edu2go for a Photoshop class for my sophomore son. What a blessing this is! Such generosity on his part and so very helpful! Thank you for sharing.

  44. westporthillviewfarm February 22, 2018 / 4:06 pm

Could someone please advise me on judging credit and grading for these programs?

    • Easy Peasy All-in-One Homeschool February 23, 2018 / 8:28 pm

Credits are mostly award for time put into a course. If you work on it daily over at least 120 days, then that is a one-credit course. 90 hours of work would be a half-credit course.

  45. Tabitha June 1, 2018 / 9:41 pm

Thank you so much for the generosity and for you sharing with us.

  46. Christina June 22, 2018 / 2:46 pm

This is such a blessing! I am truly grateful for your communication with the CEO of Webucator and of course the CEO for offering these courses at no charge for homeschoolers. My daughter is going into the 7th grade and she has completed multiple courses this past year and she absolutely enjoys the courses. She is looking forwarding to the upcoming courses we registered her for. Thank you again and GOD bless you!

  47. Cadence Walker September 5, 2018 / 11:48 am

    Thank you lots!

  48. Linda den Hartog April 12, 2019 / 10:09 pm

It does not seem to be working for me I picked, Webucator voucher as my payment method, entered homeschool and pressed enter, the response was voucher number not valid. Any help or clues? Or is this simply spam?

  49. Samantha Stone March 28, 2021 / 9:25 pm

Is this no longer working? Are we still able to take these classes?

  50. Geannette Williams July 19, 2021 / 9:07 pm

Coupon code is no longer working. I have followed the instructions carefully. I will call them directly to inquire, but it would appear they may have discontinued this offer.

    • Easy Peasy All-in-One Homeschool July 19, 2021 / 9:54 pm

Do NOT call. I will check on it. They do this as a gift to us. We are not paying customers and do not need to be taking their customer support time. I have a way to contact them. This code has worked for us for years.

      • Karen August 2, 2021 / 3:16 pm

The coupon code works. They will have to select coupon in the how to pay box drop down, credit card is preselected. Just signed up for 2 classes. Thank you for this opportunity.
