Credits: 1
Prerequisite: This follows Bible 2 in the progression, though it’s not necessary to do them in order.
Course Description: Students will read through one quarter of the Bible, thoughtfully responding to the reading by answering questions and seeking applications to their lives.
If you want to do this for credit, just print off a 180 day checklist and check off each day that was completed to satisfaction. Base your grade on how many check marks you have at the end of the year. (#check marks/180)
Directions:
You will be reading through the entire Bible over 4 years (well, school years), 180 days at a time.
You will read the day’s section and then write your response in a journal.
You can use a notebook, a word processing program, or an online journal.
For your journal response answer the following questions:
- What does this teach me about God?
- What does this teach me about man?
- What does this teach me about God’s relationship to man?
- What should I believe as a response to this passage? (How can this build up my faith in who God is?)
- What should I do (or not do) in response to this passage?
These links are to the New King James Version. If you want to read a different version, just use the link and choose your version from the drop-down menu above the reading.
If you’d like to listen, here’s a NKJV audio Bible. Click on Bible index.
Lesson 1
- If you didn’t get here through My EP Assignments, I suggest you go there and create an account.
- Psalm 98-101 Make sure that each day you scroll all the way to the bottom to get the whole reading.
- This is the end of your work for this course for your first day. You are allowed to move at your own pace (this is homeschooling), but it’s intended you complete one lesson a day.
